Terms of Service
Last updated 25 August 2026
Draft, needs legal review before launch. Accurate about what exists today and a reasonable structure to build on, but not legal advice. Have counsel review before the app ships, particularly the medical disclaimer and liability sections.
By using heldcare.com or joining the waitlist, you agree to these terms.
Held is not medical care
Held does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It is not therapy, it is not a crisis service, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, a psychiatrist, a therapist, or emergency services. Nothing on this site or in the app should be used to make a medical decision about yourself or anyone you care for. Always talk to a qualified professional.
In an emergency
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call or text 988 or call 911. Do not use Held. It will not get help to you.
What you are signing up for
The waitlist is a list. Joining it means we email you when Held is ready. It is not a purchase and it is not a contract for a service that exists yet.
The founding-member offer
The first 500 people to join the waitlist get free access to Held, permanently, for the features included at launch. We intend to honour that. Two honest caveats: places are counted in the order they are received, and if Held never launches, there is nothing to give access to.
If Held never ships
We are pre-launch. We believe we will ship, but we are not promising a date and we are not promising it happens at all. You have paid nothing, and you are owed nothing beyond the deletion of your email address on request.
Using this site
Do not attack it, scrape it, or use it to break the law. That is the whole list.
Our content
The words, design, and branding on this site belong to HeldCare. Please do not republish them as your own.
Liability
This site is provided as-is. To the fullest extent the law allows, HeldCare is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it.
For counsel: this section needs proper drafting, including a liability cap, indemnity, governing law and venue (California, presumably), and a decision on arbitration and class-action waiver. Do not ship the app on this paragraph.
Changes
If these terms change materially, we will email the waitlist.
